Tolta competes with JobCopilot and with every tool on this list. We’ve tried to be fair: each fact links to the tool’s own pages or a public review site, and we say where other tools beat ours. Tolta is our product. We haven’t run paid trials of these tools yet. This page is based on their own sites, terms, Trustpilot and public user reports, checked on October 12, 2026.

For the background, read our JobCopilot review or our guide to how AI auto-apply works. If AIApply is also on your list, see our AIApply alternatives.

Why do people look for a JobCopilot alternative?

Most people leaving JobCopilot cite billing, results or job quality. Trustpilot reviewers describe cancellation and charge disputes and many applications with few interviews. Reddit users report low-level roles and postings that had already closed. JobCopilot still has real strengths: it targets official company career pages, and reviewers praise its tracker and responsive support.

Here is what JobCopilot’s own pages say:

  • Where it applies. Its homepage says it “exclusively applies to verified jobs on official company career pages”, drawn from “500,000+ company career pages”. You can save applications for review before they go.
  • Pricing. Its pricing page lists Premium from $0.93 a day (one copilot, up to 20 matches a day) and Elite from $1.05 a day (three copilots, up to 50 matches, resume tailoring for every application). Weekly, monthly and quarterly totals aren’t shown publicly.
  • Refunds. Its terms offer refunds only for technical issues reported within the first 7 days.
  • Unknown questions. It says you can train your copilot by editing answers, but it doesn’t document what happens when a form asks something it doesn’t know.

On Trustpilot, JobCopilot held 2.1 from 98 reviews on October 12, 2026: 55% 1-star and 29% 5-star. It replies to 95% of negative reviews within 24 hours.

Which alternative has better matching?

Jobright has the strongest public ratings here, and reviewers single out accurate matching and resume tailoring. It held 4.8 from 3,580 Trustpilot reviews and 4.8 on iOS on October 12, 2026. If irrelevant or junior-level roles were your problem with JobCopilot, Jobright is the fairest place to look first.

Its autofill extension leaves the final submit to you. Its newer Agent applies for you, but how it handles approval and unknown questions isn’t documented publicly. Pricing is in-app only. Its refund policy gives a full refund within 7 days of the first charge on monthly and longer plans, and 24 hours on weekly plans, which is more generous than JobCopilot’s.

What’s the best free JobCopilot alternative?

Simplify is the best free option. Its Copilot Chrome extension autofills applications on more than 100 ATS and job portals, including Workday, Greenhouse and Lever, and its tracker and job matches are free. It works like JobCopilot’s own extension: you submit each application yourself, so nothing closed or irrelevant goes out unseen.

If you want automation, Simplify+ adds an Autopilot that submits up to 20 applications a week, for $19.99 a week, $39.99 a month or $89.99 for three months, as of October 2026 (Simplify pricing). Payments are non-refundable once activated, so test the free extension first.

Which alternative gives you more control before applying?

Sprout, AIApply and JobAssist each put an approval step in front of submission. Sprout has you review and edit, then swipe or tap to apply. AIApply’s Review mode has you approve each match. JobAssist says nothing is sent without your approval, one job at a time. All three tailor documents per job.

  • Sprout is $19.99 a week or $39.99 a month, and refunds in full within 7 days if no credits were used. See our Sprout review.
  • AIApply adds mock interviews, but its prices sit behind signup and Auto-Apply is non-refundable once applications are submitted. It held 4.3 from 1,971 Trustpilot reviews on October 12, 2026.
  • JobAssist’s $5.99 first week renews at $59.99 a month, with refunds at its discretion. See our JobAssist review.

Which alternative also applies on the employer’s own form?

Tolta shares JobCopilot’s focus on employer career pages, with two differences: it names the boards it reads, and it holds any application with a question it can’t answer so it can ask you. It also tailors both the CV and cover letter for every job, rather than on a higher plan.

Tolta reads Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Rippling, Workable and Teamtailor boards, which helps avoid reposts of jobs that have already closed. Auto-apply is live today on Workable, Rippling and Teamtailor, with more boards being switched on. Your answer to a held question is reused next time. Each user gets a personal application email address and an in-app inbox for replies, and Tolta doesn’t automate LinkedIn. What it never auto-fills is on our safety page. Tolta is pre-launch: no prices, no public reviews and no mock interviews, where JobCopilot is ahead.

How should you choose?

Start from the problem that made you leave JobCopilot, then check four things before paying: what the plan renews at, the refund rule in the tool’s own words, where its jobs come from, and what it does when a form asks something it doesn’t know. A tool that can’t answer the last two clearly is guessing on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to JobCopilot?

It depends on why you're switching. For matching with strong public ratings, Jobright. For a free tool where you submit yourself, Simplify. For a stated refund window, Sprout or Jobright. For approval modes plus interview practice, AIApply. For applications on the employer's own form that ask you instead of guessing, Tolta, our product, which is pre-launch.

Is there a free alternative to JobCopilot?

Yes. Simplify's Copilot Chrome extension, tracker, job matches and basic resume builder are free for everyone. It autofills forms on Workday, Greenhouse, Lever and other systems, much like JobCopilot's own Chrome extension, and you submit each application yourself. You lose the daily automatic applying, but you see every application before it goes.

Can I get a refund from JobCopilot?

Only in narrow cases. JobCopilot's terms say refunds, including partial ones, may be offered only if it's told within the first 7 days of a subscription about a technical issue that prevents proper use. Requests after 7 days aren't considered, and for verified issues it may extend your usage period instead of refunding.

Which JobCopilot alternative also applies on company career pages?

Tolta reads postings directly from company career boards such as Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby and submits through the employer's own form, with auto-apply live today on Workable, Rippling and Teamtailor. Simplify and Jobright autofill employer forms, but you submit. AIApply sends applications to the relevant ATS, job board or recruitment platform without naming its sources.

Which JobCopilot alternative tailors the resume for every job?

AIApply, Sprout and Jobright all tailor your resume per job; Simplify does it on its paid plan. Tolta tailors both the CV and the cover letter for each job. JobCopilot offers 'Tailor your Resume for every application' only on its Elite plan, from $1.05 a day as of October 2026.

Is JobCopilot better than AIApply?

On public ratings, AIApply is ahead: 4.3 from 1,971 Trustpilot reviews against JobCopilot's 2.1 from 98, as of October 12, 2026. JobCopilot is clearer about where it applies and publishes a from-price of $0.93 a day, while AIApply's prices sit behind signup. AIApply offers three approval modes. Both have strict refund rules.
