AIApply review: is AIApply legit?
Yes, AIApply is legit. AIApply Ltd is a registered UK company, and its Auto Apply finds jobs, tailors your resume and cover letter, and submits applications for you. It holds 4.3 on Trustpilot. The real questions are fit and cost: users report mismatched roles, credits that run out fast and Auto-Apply fees that are non-refundable.
Disclosure: Tolta is our product and competes with AIApply. Not yet tested hands-on; based on public sources.
Our verdict
AIApply is a real, established product with more features than most rivals: auto-apply, resume and cover letter tools, and interview practice. Its weak spot is the one volume brings: users report applications to roles that don't fit. Start in Review mode, buy the smallest credit pack, and read the refund terms first.
Good fit for: Job seekers who want one paid suite for resumes, cover letters, interview practice and auto-apply, and who will start in Review mode to check what it sends.
What it does well
- Registered company with detailed, versioned terms
- Review mode lets you approve each match before it applies
- Tailored resume and cover letter for each application
- Interview practice and a live Interview Buddy alongside auto-apply
- Trustpilot 4.3 from 1,971 reviews, with replies to 72% of negative reviews (October 12, 2026)
Where it falls short
- Prices aren't shown on the public pricing page
- Auto-Apply credits are sold separately and users say they run out fast
- Auto-Apply is non-refundable once applications are submitted
- Users report applications to roles outside their filters
- Job sources aren't named

| Questions it can't answer | Holds the application, asks you once and reuses the answer | Not documented publicly |

Tolta competes with AIApply. We’ve tried to be fair: every fact below links to AIApply’s own pages, its terms, Trustpilot or public user reports, and we say where AIApply does something well. We haven’t run a paid trial of AIApply yet. This review is based on public sources checked on October 12, 2026, and we’ll update it after hands-on testing.
If you’re weighing tools that auto-apply to jobs for you, the questions below are the ones we’d ask of any of them: who runs it, what you pay, what you get back if it doesn’t work, and whether the applications it sends are ones you’d send yourself. For other options, see our AIApply alternatives and our JobCopilot review.
Is AIApply legit?
Yes. AIApply is run by AIApply Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15200716), with versioned terms last updated September 7, 2026. On October 12, 2026, it held 4.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 1,971 reviews. Complaints focus on match quality, credits and refunds, not on whether the product exists.
AIApply is a suite, not a single tool. Alongside Auto Apply it offers a resume builder, cover letters, mock interviews and a live “Interview Buddy”. According to its Auto Apply page, you set the roles, locations and companies to target or avoid, and it “continuously scans job listings”, writes a tailored resume and cover letter for each match, and “automatically submits applications on your behalf”. It doesn’t name where the jobs come from.
The same page says “Up to 80% higher interview rate” but gives no baseline, sample size or time frame, so we can’t check it.
How does AIApply’s Auto Apply work?
AIApply’s terms describe three modes. In Review mode you approve each match before it applies. In Hybrid mode it applies on its own to high-fit roles and shows you lower-fit matches for approval. In Auto mode it submits applications for you once you switch it on, sending your data to the relevant ATS or job board.
The modes are the part of AIApply we’d point a new user to first:
- Review: slowest, but you see every application before it goes out.
- Hybrid: fewer approvals, and AIApply decides what counts as high fit.
- Auto: no approvals after you turn it on.
The terms also say: “Employers/platforms may use AI/bot-detection; we do not guarantee any outcome.” That’s an honest disclosure, and it applies to every tool in this category. AIApply doesn’t document what happens when a form asks a question your profile can’t answer.
How much does AIApply cost?
AIApply doesn’t publish prices on its public pricing page. It describes a Premium subscription, monthly or annual with an annual discount, Auto-Apply credits sold separately in packs such as 100 or 250, a student discount and a limited free tier with no timed trial. You see actual prices after signing up.
The refund terms matter more than usual here, because credits are consumed as applications go out. From AIApply’s terms, section 10:
- “Except where required by law or expressly stated in Service-Specific Terms, fees are non-refundable.”
- Refunds “may be granted if you report an accidental purchase within 30 minutes of the initial charge and there has been no meaningful usage of the service.”
- “Refunds for renewed subscriptions are generally not available.”
- “Auto-Apply is a non-refundable product… refunds are not available after applications have been submitted.”
- Subscriptions renew automatically “unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of your subscription term.”
What do AIApply users say?
AIApply has more public feedback than most rivals, and it’s split. Trustpilot shows 4.3 from 1,971 reviews, and AIApply invites customers to review and replies to 72% of negative ones. Praise centers on time saved and the quality of tailored resumes. Complaints center on mismatched applications, credits running out and refund disputes.
The most detailed public report is a Reddit post from a user who landed a job after 78 days. They report spending $639.30 on 1,283 applications and seeing “about six or seven total interviews” before an offer. They found it useful for getting applications out faster and recommended its resume tweaking, but said “95% of the jobs these tools apply for are complete garbage or not a real match at all”, including many travel agent roles. Credits were the cost driver: “no credits, no job hunting.”
In another thread, users said it applied to French-speaking roles despite a filter against them, listed languages they don’t speak, and renewed for a second year without a reminder. These are individual reports, paraphrased, not a representative sample.
Who is AIApply a good fit for?
AIApply suits job seekers who want one paid tool for resumes, cover letters, interview practice and applying, and who are applying broadly. Review mode makes it usable by someone who wants control. It suits you less if you’re targeting a narrow set of roles, need to know where postings come from, or can’t absorb non-refundable credits.
It’s a reasonable fit if:
- You want interview practice and application tools in one place.
- You’ll start in Review mode and check what it sends before moving to Hybrid or Auto.
- You’re comfortable buying credits without a refund once they’re used.
How is Tolta different?
Tolta reads new postings directly on company career boards (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Rippling, Workable and Teamtailor), tailors your CV and cover letter for each job, and applies through the employer’s own form. When a form asks something your profile can’t answer, it holds the application and asks you once, then reuses the answer. Tolta is pre-launch and hasn’t announced prices.
The differences that matter most against AIApply:
- Named sources. Every job comes from a named company career board. Auto-apply is live on Workable, Rippling and Teamtailor, with more boards being switched on.
- Asks instead of guessing. Answers it can’t know, like work authorization, come from you. What it never auto-fills is listed on our safety page.
- Your choice of control. Auto-apply is a setting; with it off, every application waits for your go-ahead.
- Your own application address. Replies land in an in-app inbox.
Where AIApply is ahead: it’s live, with a large and mostly positive Trustpilot record, and it has interview tools Tolta doesn’t offer. For a side-by-side view of other tools, see the best AI job application tools.
Frequently asked questions
Is AIApply legit or a scam?
AIApply is legit. It's run by AIApply Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15200716), and holds 4.3 on Trustpilot from 1,971 reviews as of October 12, 2026. We wouldn't call it a scam. The documented complaints are about fit and money: applications to roles that don't match, credits that run out fast and refund refusals.
How much does AIApply cost?
AIApply's public pricing page doesn't show prices. It describes a Premium subscription, billed monthly or annually, Auto-Apply credits sold in packs such as 100 or 250, a student discount and a limited free tier. You see actual prices after signing up. Check the total, including credits, before you pay.
Can I get a refund from AIApply?
Rarely. AIApply's terms say fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated. Refunds may be granted for an accidental purchase reported within 30 minutes with no meaningful usage. Renewals are generally not refundable, and Auto-Apply is non-refundable once applications have been submitted. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the term ends.
Does AIApply apply without my approval?
It depends on the mode. In Review mode, you approve each match before it applies. In Hybrid mode, it applies automatically to high-fit roles and shows you lower-fit matches. In Auto mode, you authorize it to submit on your behalf when you switch it on. If you're unsure, start in Review mode.
Does AIApply really get you interviews?
Some users report interviews; results vary widely. AIApply advertises 'up to 80% higher interview rate' without stating a baseline or sample. One Reddit user reported spending $639.30 over 78 days on 1,283 applications, for about six or seven interviews and a job offer. That's one person's account, not a typical result.
Can employers tell I used AIApply?
Possibly. AIApply's own terms say 'Employers/platforms may use AI/bot-detection; we do not guarantee any outcome.' The bigger risk users describe is fit: an application to a role you're not qualified for is easy for a recruiter to spot. Reviewing what gets sent, at least at first, reduces that risk.
What's a good AIApply alternative?
It depends on what went wrong. If you want to approve every application, JobAssist and Sprout work that way. Jobright has strong public ratings for matching. Simplify's autofill extension is free if you'd rather submit yourself. Tolta, our product, applies on the employer's own form and asks instead of guessing; it's pre-launch. See our AIApply alternatives page.
